The innovative design and concept of the Habilitation House centers around the primary purpose of having a measurable and positive effect on crime and recidivism.
The pioneering design of the proposed facility, targeting such areas as living quarters, visiting, recreation, education, food services, laundry, medical, security, on-site employment and administration establishes a reasonable physical emulation of the community the Resident will be released into. The uniqueness of the implementation of programs and services in this secure community–oriented facility further enhances the Resident’s chance of not returning to prison. The family reuniting, outmate outreach, volunteer, and after-care efforts make the possibility of his becoming a contributing, worthwhile citizen much more viable.
