Milestones Reached
These are the milestones we have reached to date:
1. Chartered as a Texas non-profit corporation in January 1985.
2. Received Final Determination letter from IRS as a 501 (c)(3) in 1990.
3. Construction drawings completed.
4. Engineering drawings completed
5. All-inclusive per-diem is at least 20% less than most jurisdictions.
6. Dedicated Board of Trustees in place.
7. Staff and staffing pattern in place.
8. Opinion letter from the EEOC authorizing the hiring of ‘people of like faith’, (Scores of resumes on file).
9. Commitment from the American Center for Law and Justice, (ACLJ) to defend CCI on First Amendment and Constitutional issues pro bono and they filed a memorandum brief with the U.S. Justice Department in our behalf. (The 14- page brief is available.)
10. Five-year Cash Flow Projections by three accounting firms.
11. Letters of support from former President of U.S., former Vice-President of U.S., seminary president, pastors, elected officials, victims groups, law enforcement, etc.
12. Commitment from Wayland Baptist University for a satellite campus in Habilitation House.
13.Construction financing commitment in writing from a well-established high-profile Bond Underwriter with a long-standing history of successfully financing faith-based ventures.
14. In-Patient Transfer Agreements in place for on-site and off-site health care.
15. Curriculum commitment from Therapon Institute.
16. Statutory authority for utilizing jurisdictions from Interstate Corrections Compact.
17. Statements of interest from utilizing jurisdictions.
18. Economic and Community Impact Statement available.
19. Resolutions of support and authorization from several cities and counties. Private/Public Partnership with Wakita/Grant County Okla.
20. Habilitation House is Bible-based, Scripturally sound, God appointed, and God anointed generating funds for local ministries.
