Education: Evidence of satisfactory completion of at least one quarter of Clinical Pastoral Education Center. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university of recognized standing and the degree of Bachelor of Divinity, or Master of Divinity, or Master of Theology from an approved three-year post-graduate degree in religion acceptable to the denomination or faith group. The degrees must have been granted by colleges, universities, seminaries, or other institutions listed in Higher Education, Education Directory, published by the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare. Ordination and the current written endorsement by the endorsing agent of the denomination or church represented by the Chaplain is required.
Experience: Must have a minimum of one full year of satisfactory experience as an ordained minister in pastoral work in the parish setting or in the chaplaincy.
Knowledge: Considerable knowledge of religious beliefs and practices of all faith groups and denominations; knowledge of institutional organization, policies of the institution. Skill in human relations and the ability to interact with clients, staff and families. Ability to function effectively as a pastor within the administrative framework of clients, families and community .
Starting Salary: 37,500 / yr
