Education: Must be a high school graduate or have a GED certificate. Graduation from an accredited college or university with major emphasis in corrections and/or behavioral sciences is desirable.

Experience: Prior experience in a correctional security field is desired. In-service training in the security field is a continuing requirement. Must have character traits of maturity and stability.

Knowledge: Through knowledge of the proposed facility's employees and resident policies, rules and regulations. Thorough technical knowledge of all functions and operations of the unit of assignment. Proficient in the supervision of residents. Have the knowledge and ability to perform and supervise certain administrative functions. Ability to act and react in a calm and rational manner under extreme stress.

Starting Salary:  32,500 / yr
