Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of modern principles and practices of medicine; of the anatomy and physiology of the human body; of the standard uses of medicines for illness; of the languages used in pharmacy prescription writing; of the analysis prepared by medical laboratories; of the nomenclature and uses of medical equipment.

Skill: Thorough skill to successfully diagnose and treat patients appropriately; to exercise independent judgment; to analyze a situation and initiate an effective course of action; to establish and maintain productive working relationships with others.
