Education: Graduation from a standard senior high school, including or supplemented by vocational training in the building crafts.

Experience: Should have considerable experience in general construction and general maintenance in a supervisory capacity. Trade school training in refrigeration, welding and blueprint reading is desirable.

Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of building construction and maintenance techniques, plumbing and heating systems, sanitation, electrical systems, and fire and safety regulations and procedures. Familiar with local building codes. Skill in the use of tools and equipment. Ability to read blueprints, to organize preventive maintenance program, to supervise others, to establish and maintain effective working relations, and to develop effective work methods. Ability to draw rough sketches of proposed projects.

Starting Salary:  34,500 / yr
